NARFE Washington State Federation of Chapters District IV includes: Chapter 181 Bremerton,
Chapter 881 Poulsbo (meets quarterly), Chapter 888 Port Orchard (reduced meeting dates), and the Olympic Peninsula Chapter
1006 Sequim (expected to resume meetings at a future date). It's part of the Washington
State Federation of Chapters (WSFC), of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Association.
is the only organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the earned pay, retirement
and healthcare benefits of federal employees, retirees and survivors. Founded by 14 members in 1921, NARFE
has advocated tirelessly in support of ALL federal employees and retirees before the Office of Personnel Management (OPM),
members of Congress and the White House.
As stated on the NARFE website: "NARFE's
national legislative program is advanced in Congress by a team of registered lobbyists backed by an informed network of grass-root
activists in every state and congressional district, and a member-supported Political Action Committee (PAC). Our strong supporters
and years of experience on Capitol Hill and in federal agencies have made NARFE a name respected by members of Congress and
a key player in the federal community." We are your voice before Congress!
This website provides our members with
information, notification of upcoming events and the status of legislation affecting the earned retirement and healthcare
benefits of federal employees, retirees and their survivors. It also provides prospective members with information
on the purpose of NARFE, its mission and accomplishments, and how to become a member of the NARFE family.
